Appointments & funding.
See what to expect from your appointments and the funding pathways that may apply to your Exercise Physiology care.

Know what to expect before you start.
You can book with MDEP privately without a referral. Care begins with an initial assessment, followed by individual sessions and, where appropriate, supervised group exercise.
If you’re using Medicare or another funding pathway, we’ll explain what referral, plan or claim details are needed before your first appointment.
Pricing for every step of your health journey.
Your Exercise Physiologist will recommend the type and frequency of sessions based on your assessment, goals and current needs. As you progress, your level of support can change with you.

Funding that may support your care.
Depending on your eligibility, health needs and level of cover, Exercise Physiology may be supported through a number of funding pathways.
Medicare
Eligible clients may access a Medicare rebate when referred by their GP under a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan.
A referral is required and a gap payment will apply.
NDIS
MD Exercise Physiology is a registered NDIS provider.
We accept self-managed, plan-managed and NDIA-managed individuals.
TAC & WorkCover Victoria
Exercise Physiology may form part of an approved rehabilitation plan following a transport or workplace injury.
Your claim details and any required approval will need to be confirmed before treatment.
ReturnToWorkSA
Exercise Physiology may be funded through ReturnToWorkSA for treatment of a work injury and to support recovery and return to work. Claim and treatment arrangements should be confirmed before booking.
DVA
DVA Health Cards (Gold and White) are accepted as payment upon a GP referral.
Private Health
Many extras policies include benefits for Exercise Physiology.
Rebates vary between funds and levels of cover, so we recommend checking directly with your health fund.
